Introduction

Department at Government Medical college, Washim is engaged in research work and training the medical students about the legal formalities to follow during the examination of the patient. We also committed to teach the students about how to assist the judiciary by carrying out proper medicolegal work, court room procedures and treatment of medicolegal cases related to poisoning and conduction of postmortem procedures also.

- To bring out competent doctor in handling, assessing & treating various medicolegal cases.

- To produce future Teacher and Researcher in field of Forensic Medicine

Mission

• -To understand and respect the code of medical ethics.
• -Describe the medicolegal aspects & finding of post-mortem examination in case of death due to common unnatural conditions.
• -Identify day to day medicolegal problems in practice and resolve them.
• -Make them acquire the knowledge of law in relation to medical practice, negligence and in respect for the codes of medical ethics.

Objectives & Goals:

• To train medical undergraduates so that they can alleviate the medical health problem.
• -To carry out the research work which will assist in clinical justice in future.
